Michael Dennis Bennett

Michael Dennis Bennett, age 79 of Cayuga, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Danville, Illinois on June 28, 1944 to the late Bernice (Jewell) and Jesse Bennett. He graduated from Cayuga High School in 1963 and married the love of his life, Linda Homan, on January 17, 1964.

They have three boys, Paul "Tony" (Kim) Bennett, Mike Bennett, and Bruce (Candice) Bennett, they all survive. He is also survived by a brother, Fred (Dorothy) Bennett of Oakwood, Illinois; four grandchildren, Summer (Dustin) Plunkett, Wade Bennett, Bryce Bennett and Audy McQuaid; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Tom, Tony, David, and Jack Bennett; three sisters, Nancy Joe Bennett, Mary Ann Vansant, and Phyllis Smith; and a granddaughter, Victoria Hathaway.

Mike worked for the railroad all his life, starting with the CSX and he later worked for RCL traveling to several states. He enjoyed fishing, camping, mowing and taking care of his yard and his cars.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service at Eugene Cemetery on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00pm with Sonja Adams officiating. Sanders Funeral Care of Kingman entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
