Alan Grimes

Mr. Alan Grimes, 70, Crawfordsville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at 2:39 PM in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. He was born May 7th, 1944, in F. to Willis E. and Mary Elizabeth (Keefe) Grimes. He married Carol Demaree on December 31st, 2003 in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Grimes retired as a Traffic Manager from Mid States Wire where he had worked for 32 years. After retirement he worked for Schloot's Furniture Store and later Cornett's Furniture Store He was a Crawfordsville High School graduate. enjoyed his dogs, fishing, and Colts football.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters: Hollie Hughes and Connie Webber, both of Lafayette; step-sons: Kevin (Elizabeth) McElmurry, Gary; and Dave (Chelsea) Wilkins, Crawfordsville. Also surviving are hi grandchildren: Brooklyn Wilkins; Jessica, Kaylee, and Lindsey Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Bobbie Grimes.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, April 26th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service time.
