Aletha Kinnett

Mrs. Aletha Mae Ragsdale Kinnett passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter on Sunday evening, February 1, 2015. She was born July 20, 1921, Parshall, Colorado, to Lester C. and Eva M. (Gwin) Ragsdale. She married J. Herbert Kinnett on December 22, 1940, at New Brunswick, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2004.

Mrs. Kinnett retired after over 25 years as a Bookkeeper/Receptionist for McClamrock-Groves Insurance Company. Her memberships included the First Christian Church of Crawfordsville for over 60 years and Delta Theta Tau for 50 years. She was a graduate of Pinnell High School.

She is survived by a daughter: Patricia (John) Hooper, Crawfordsville; a son: Michael (Sandy) Kinnett, Lebanon; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services are scheduled for Noon, Friday, February 6, at the First Christian Church, 211 S. Walnut St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Keith Strain officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, and one hour prior to services on Friday in the church. Memorials may be made to: First Christian Church of Crawfordsville.
