Anna June Fairfield

Mrs. Anna June Fairfield, 87, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, May 15th, at 7:59 PM, in the Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born June 28th, 1927, in Dana, Indiana, to Frank and Jenny D. (Eubanks) Ford. She married Robert Lee Fairfield on May 10th, 1947 in Dana. He preceded her in death in January 2006.

Mrs. Fairfield had been the owner of the "Fairfield Wreath & Craft Shop" in Crawfordsville for 30 years. She also had worked at J. C. Penney's in Crawfordsville as well as working as a Secretary at R.R. Donnelleys for several years. She was a 1945 graduate of Dana High School and also a graduate of the Western Union School in Anderson, Indiana. She was a member of the Rock Point Church; the "Busy Bunch Home Economics Club"; and had been a Girl Scout, Cub Scout, and Brownie Leader with the Hoover School troops. She also had a great love of flowers.

She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Hester, Crawfordsville; and her son: Dale (Katy) Fairfield, Crawfordsville. Also surviving is her brother: Ralph Ford, Crawfordsville; sisters: Miriam "Sis" Hamersley, Tuscon, Arizona; Janice (Rev. Ted) Morgan, Evansville; grandchildren: Matt (Charlyn) Hester; Joe (Tosha) Fairfield; Misty (Mike) Thomas; step-grandchildren: Amy, Natalie, and Tim Mills; great grandchildren: Lucas and Alexis Thomas. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Orville and John Ford.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 20th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill North Cemetery.
