Anthelene Evans

Mrs. Anthelene Kay Evans, 77, Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, April 7, at 3:05 AM, in the Ben Hur Health & Rehab Center. She was born August 1, 1936, in Crawfordsville, to Clarence E. and June (Farrow) Black. She married Glen E. Evans, March 29, 1986, in Crawfordsville. He survives.

Mrs. Evans had worked for Tipmont REMC in Linden from March 1964 until her retirement in August 1995. She was a 1954 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and the Indiana Business College in Lafayette; member of the Ladoga Baptist Church; and enjoyed photography.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother: Clarence E. Black II, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Suannays Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from Noon until 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
