Antonio "Tony" J. Arrigo

Mr. Antonio "Tony" J. Arrigo Jr., a long time former resident and business owner from Waynetown passed away on Thursday afternoon July 19, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital East, Lafayette, IN.  Tony was born on November 13, 1945 at East Chicago, IN. the son of Antonio J. Arrigo Sr. and Ann (nee: Norman) Arrigo. He grew up in Veedersburg, IN. and graduated from Veedersburg High School before serving in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He married Linda Hobson of Waynetown on June 18, 1967. through out their marriage they owned and operated several local businesses including the Waynetown Pizza King, Waynetown Bar & Grill, Waynetown Florist, a laundry mat, the Cracker Barrel Café and Hudson Grocery. He also was a driver for Classic Transport delivering travel trailers from the manufacturers to the dealers. Tony was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Covington, In. and a longtime member of the Waynetown Merchants Association. He loved to fish, bowl, play cards and sing karaoke with his wife. Tony is survived by his wife; Linda Arrigo of Lafayette, In.; daughter Angie Arrigo of Lafayette, In. sisters Denise (Jon) Woody of Brownsburg, IN. and Susan (John) Wooley of Nappanee, IN. grandson Darrick Holt of Crawfordsville, IN. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kim Thomas.

Funeral services for Tony Arrigo will be held at 10 am Monday July 23rd at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd., Waynetown, In. with Pastor Ron Raffignone officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville, In.  Visitation will be Sunday July 22 at the funeral home from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Waynetown Merchants Association to be used for the benefit of the citizens of Waynetown and Wayne Township. envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.
