Barbara J. Baird

Barbara Jean Baird, age 81 of Kingman passed away at Rockville Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, August 24, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jamaica, IL on April 14, 1937 to the late Lloyd & Ruth (Snyder) Schumacher.

Barb attended Jamaica High School and retired from General Electric in Danville, IL. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and all types of crafts which she often sold at the Covered Bridge Festival.

She is survived by four daughters, Debra Hall of TN, Carol Smith and Rebecca Reed both of Fresno, CA, and Karla (Mark) Mershon of Tangier; a son, Bill Baird of Kingman; three sisters, Josephine Pruitt of Homer, IL, Joanne Haas of OH, and Judith (Carl) Rice of Sidell, IL; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 3 more on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Warren Schumacher; and her soul mate Norman Drollinger.
