Mrs. Barbara Jean Irvin, age 84, formerly of Waynetown passed away peacefully on Thursday Evening September 26th at the Hickory Creek Nursing home in Crawfordsville, In.
Barb was born on September 24th, 1929 at Saybrook, Illinois the daughter of William and Charlotte (Kinsel) Hehman. She graduated high school from Gibson City, Illinois and them married Jasper M. (Jr) Irvin on October 4, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2004.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Deborah (husband Lee) Merryman of Crawfordsville, In. and her 4 grandchildren: Brandy Beach, Brandon Wolf, Barrett Wolf and Brenton Wolf. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 1 brother: Ed (Lori) Hehman of Champagne, Il. 3 sisters; Betty Boyd and Shirley Skinner of Gibson city, Il. and Virginia Trenary of Kansas City, KS.
Barbara's funeral services will be at 1:00pm Monday September 30th at Shoemaker Funeral Home with Rev. John Kessinger assisted by Rev. Rick Fay. Burial will be in Meharry Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Assoc. 6415 Castleway W. Drive, suite 114, Indianapolis, In. 46250.
