Barbara Neely

Mrs. Barbara Neely, 72, Sedona, Arizona, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, at the Sedona Winds Assisted Living Center, Sedona, Arizona. She was born May 18, 1939 in Boone County to Paul and Maxine (Joseph) Pittenger. She married John L. Neely in June 1958. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Neely had worked for 18 years in the North Montgomery School Corporation as a cook. She retired from CVS, Crawfordsville, after 13 years as a sales clerk. She was a 1958 graduate of New Market High School and a member of the Darlington Christian Church.

She is survived by her children: Deborah (Gayle) Lough, Darlington; Christina (Mike) Eich, Sedona, Arizona; and Patrick (Cathy) Neely, Crawfordsville. Also surviving is a sister: Virginia VanHook, Crawfordsville, and a brother, Max Pittenger, Crawfordsville; grandchildren; Grant and Ginny Lough, Darlington, and Kevin and Elaina Eich, Sedona, Arizona. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Eddie Pittenger.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, at 10:30 AM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Ben Hitzfeld officiating. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 15, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
