Mrs. Barbara Jean (Williams) Seward, 76, Crawfordsville, formerly of the Raccoon Lake area, passed away in her home on Saturday, June 11th, at 3:06 PM. She was born November 7th, 1939, in Crawfordsville, to Charles Leslie and Dorothy (Surface) Williams, and was raised by her Grandmother: Bertha Surface. She resided in Ferndale, Indiana, for 20 years. Barbara spent her childhood summers with her Grandfather: Forest, and Cecile. She was married for 56 years to John William (Bill) Seward having been married on April 17th, 1960 in Crawfordsville. He survives.

Barbara had been a Homemaker; had worked in the Billing Department at Mid-States Wire for several years; and was a Home Interiors Independent Consultant for 20 years, having been a top salesperson and receiving many awards. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville; she enjoyed displaying her crafts at the Covered Bridge Festival for many years; and she loved sewing, knitting, and crocheting, along with fishing and hunting for mushrooms.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Tonia (Rick) Wheeler, Crawfordsville; her sons: Vince (Dawn) Seward, Flora; Travis Seward (Wade Cleveland), Greenville, South Carolina; and Jason (Maria) Seward, Crawfordsville; Also surviving are grandchildren: Craig, Evan (Allison), and Ross (Sofia) Wheeler; Brett, Owen, Jenna, and Ben Seward; Isla, Alea, Ella, and Aria Seward. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 15th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Seward officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill North Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 14th, from 3:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Memorials may be sent to the Montgomery County Community Foundation, PO Box 334, Crawfordsville, IN 47933
