Betty L. Denham

Betty Louise Denham, age 91 of Crawfordsville passed away on March 29, 2018 at The Lane House in Crawfordsville. She was born in Montgomery County on January 13, 1927 to the late Frank Pat & Edith Grace (Carver) Newlin. In 1946 she married Arvil Denham who preceded her in death in 1976.

Betty was a beautician who operated her salon from her home in Alamo for 25 years. She also worked at the front desk at the Culver Hospital ER for 15 years in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking pies.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Ed) Priebe of Crawfordsville; two sons, Wayne Denham of Alamo and Allen (Jeanee) Denham of Texas; a brother, HG “Bud” Newlin of California; 4 grandchildren, Brad, Darcy, Zack, and Ely; 5 great-grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvil Denham; her brother, Charles Newlin; and her sister, Patsy Newlin.
