Betty Joan (Eggers) Hester

Betty Joan Hester, age 92, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The Waters of Covington. She was born in Roachdale on March 18, 1929 to the late Courtland Allen Eggers and Doris M. (Patton) Eggers Clore.

Betty graduated from Roachdale High School in 1947 and she married the love of her life, John C. Hester, on February 5, 1950. She retired from Milligan's Florist after 5o years. She enjoyed being a farmwife and babysitting her grand-dog, Hank and her dog Lacy.

Betty is survived by her son, Phil (Carol York) Hester; three brothers-in-law, Jerry (Dorothy) Hester, Danny (Shirley) Hester and Glen Krout; a sister-in-law, Beverly (Larry) Ricky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; and two sisters, Phyllis Krout and Katherine Eggers.
