Betty Ann Smith, 77, Crawfordsville, passed away at her home on Tuesday at 4:20 PM. She was born on October 3, 1933 in Crawfordsville to William C. and Geneva E. (Clodfelder) Swindler. She married Gordon G. Seals in 1952. He died in 1970. She then married Harvey Smith in 1972. He survives at home.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Yountsville Community Church and was a 1951 Graduate of New Market High School. She retired from Target and had previously worked at Indiana Gas & Water Co. and R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co.. She and her husband were also farmers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters: Linda Seals (Brad) Allen, Crawfordsville and Sabrena Seals (Lawrence) Smith, Martinsville; sons: Dennis (Kathy) Smith, West Lafayette, John (Diana) Smith, Plainfield, Lawrence (Sabrena) Smith, Martinsville, and Charles Smith, Hopkinsville, TN. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Herbert Swindler, a sister, Elsie Swindler, an infant brother, and 2 great grandchildren.

Cremation was selected with a memorial service to be held Monday, March 21, at 11:00 AM at the Yountsville Community Church, 4382 W. SR 32, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Alan Goff officiating. The family will greet friends Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A family committal service will be held Monday afternoon at the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
