Betty Willis

Mrs. Betty L. Willis, 81, New Market, passed away Tuesday at 1:50 PM, at the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette. She was born April 13, 1930, in Ladoga, to Frank and Margaret (Shubert) Everhart. She married Bryon Willis in February, 1961, in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1969.

Mrs. Willis was retired from the Southmont School Corporation where she had worked for 37 years. She also had worked at RR Donnelleys and Bryant Manufacturing, Indianapolis. She was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church and in her free time enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter: Becky Willis, Mt. Prospect, Illinois. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15, at 2:30 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM.
