Beverly Weir

Beverly Jane Weir, 82, Crawfordsville, passed away at 12:10 PM Tuesday (4/12/11) at the Lane House Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She was born January 7, 1929 in Crawfordsville to Clifford and Ernestine (Neal) Newsom. She married Clyde Weir April 25, 1946 in Ladoga, Indiana. He survives.

Mrs. Weir had worked at Culver and St. Clare Hospitals where she was the manager of the gift shop for 39 years. While there she was also a Pink Lady and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a member of the Christ's United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville. She was also an excellent cook.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 daughter: Susan (Art) Killian, Crawfordsville; 2 grandchildren: Holly (Kevin) Kellerman and Mitch (Kari) Thompson; 4 great-grandchildren: Will, Lauren, and Alex Kellerman and Graci Thompson. She was preceded in death by 1 son: Curt Weir and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from Noon until 2:00 PM. Services will be officiated by Rev. Chris Renick and burial will be at the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
