Bonnie Priebe

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Priebe, 87, Crawfordsville, and formerly of Ladoga, passed away Saturday, August 2nd, at 9:45 PM in the Lane House Nursing Home, where she had resided for the past 4 years. She was born November 5, 1926, in Parke County, to Homer and Bonnie (Durham) Weaver. She married Charles E. Priebe on August 9, 1947, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death on October 13th, 2001.

Mrs. Priebe was a Homemaker; a Baker; and a Child Care Provider. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church; attended Byron Schools; and in her free time enjoyed gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by her daughters: Jeannie (Robert) Garrett, Crawfordsville; Debbie (Johnnie) Myers, Ladoga; her sons: Ed (Donna) Priebe, Crawfordsville; and Dan (Cathy) Priebe, Mitchell, Indiana. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Cresta (Coy) Priebe-Herald; Travis Priebe; and Mandy Priebe. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Bob, Charlie, John, Buck, and Max Weaver; and Don and Hubert Cheeseman; her sisters: Mary Hartle; Pat Gray; Betty Lou and Lula Belle Cheeseman.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 6th, at the Freedom Baptist Church, 6223 W. State Road 234, with Revs. James Ranard and Norman Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5th, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
