Boyd Lee Stewart

Boyd Lee Stewart, age 79, of Kingman passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. He was born on June 28, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to Garnet and Betty (Ellis) Stewart. Boyd married the love of his life, Joy Jessee on June 15, 1962, who survives.

Boyd graduated from East Tipp High School in Lafayette in 1959 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked in the shipping and receiving department at Eli Lilly and Company in Lafayette and retired after 25 plus years. He enjoyed traveling with Joy, he bought and sold antiques; was a gun dealer, collector and gun enthusiast; enjoyed wood working and restoring antiques, and loved spending time with his family; especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joy; two daughters, Michelle (Fred Harshman) Stewart and Alisa (Scott) Stewart-Merryman; 3 grandchildren, Layne Callahan, Logan Parke, and Mason Merryman; one great-grandson, Cayne Callahan; two brothers, Mick (Lee) Stewart, Kirk (Diane) Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Peyton Merryman.
