Bradley Levi Walden

Air Force Staff Sergeant Bradley Levi Walden, 63, of Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, March 6th, of natural causes. Brad was born January 21st, 1952, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to Ancil Levi and Ruby Lee (Geralds-Sturgeon) Walden. He first married Tina Marquess in May of 1974. They later divorced. He later married Dawn O'Guinn in Lebanon, Indiana. She survives in Ohio.

He was a 1970 graduate of Coal Creek High School, where he played football and helped lead his team to the 1969 WRC Conference Championship. He spent 2 1/2 years in the United States Air Force, serving in the 615th Air Rescue Bravo Team during the Vietnam War. He worked for Fairfield Gear in Lafayette and later for J.L. Manta for many years. He was a member of the Painters & Allied Trade Union Local #80.

He is survived by his Mother, Ruby Sturgeon, Crawfordsville; his daughters: Megan Roche, Wingate; Dia Walden and Destiny Walden, both of Ohio; his son: Ryan Walden, Crawfordsville; and his step-son: Doug O'Guinn, Lafayette. Also surviving is his sister: Charlotte Blizzard, Fort Worth, Texas; brothers: Andy (Peggy) Walden, Dan (Mary) Walden, Randy (Diana) Walden; and Roy Sturgeon; grandchildren: Jaycee Walden, Jamyson Roche, Brody Roche, Ellie Walden, Malachi Walden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother: Jerry Dean.

Cremation was selected with a Memorial Service being held Saturday, March 14th, at 1:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Elder John Laker officiating. A committal service will follow in the New Richmond Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Crawfordsville American Legion and VFW Honor Guard. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service time.
