Pastor Brian Wade Newby, age 47,of Kingman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Franciscan Health-Lafayette after a sudden heart attack.
He was born in Danville, IN to Curt and Wendy (Horstmann) Newby onMay 3, 1970.
He graduated from South Montgomery High School and proudly served in the United States Army during Desert Storm. After returning from the military hestudied Industrial Maintenance at Ivy Tech Community College andElectro-Mechanical Engineering at Sinclair Community College.
On October 4, 2003he married the love of his life, Tamara Dee (Hunt) Newby, who survives.
Brian previously worked at Pace Dairy in Crawfordsville for 15 years where he met his wife, Tami. He currently wasthe Pastor at Kingman United Methodist Church, an Associate Pastor at Spirit of Life Ministries and owned and operated Integra Engineering in Kingman.
He loved people,woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very active in the church, went on several mission trips, belonged to the Men of Ironand was theassistant coach for Bloomingdale Bulldogs and Marshall Bobcats baseball teams.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 13 years, Tami;sixchildren, Charlie, Allison (Brett) Williams,Brianna, Trent, Caleb, and Marc; two granddaughters, Lilian and Adaline;his parents, Curt and Wendy Newby;two sisters, Jodi Newby and Stephanie (Augie) Lockhart; in-laws, Tom and Dee Hunt, brother in-law, Tom (Misty) Hunt; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, andhisdog Rascal.
Brian waspreceded in death by his maternaland paternal grandparents.
Funeral will be held at Spirit of Life Ministries, 505 W State Street, inKingman on Wednesday, May 31 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, May 30 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Sanders Funeral Careentrusted with care.
Memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to help with expenses or the Spirit of Life Building Fund.
