Carl James Evans

Mr. Carl James Evans, 81, Crawfordsville, passed away at 9:05 AM on Sunday, October 22, 2017, in the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. He was born May 29th, 1936, in Nebraska, to Carl Levi and Helen Irene Evans.

Carl was a Retired Lineman, having worked for the Pacific Gas & Electric Company of California. After his retirement he was an Independent Contractor for cable tv companies in California. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, panning for gold, and playing pool.He loved animals, especially his bird, " Cookie".

He is survived by his children: Colleen (Chris) Francis of Wingate; Carolyn Evans of Bevier, Missouri; Karen Lopez; and Karl Evans. Also surviving are 2 sisters; granddaughter: Jolleen Hill of Crawfordsville; 8 other grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents.
