Carl Wayne Goss

Mr Carl Wayne Goss, 78, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 31st, 2017, at 9:12 AM.He was born December 23rd, 1938, in Ferndale, Indiana, to Alfred "Boone" and Belaugh Iona (Spencer) Goss. He married Judy Asbury on June 30th, 1962, in Cayuga. She survives.

Carl retired from Farm Bureau Insurance after 37 years. He was Certified Life Underwriter Agent as well as an Office Manager in Montgomery, Parke, and Fountain Counties.He later worked for 14 years as the State Secretary for the Indiana Lions Club.He was a graduate of Indiana State University where he received his BA in Accounting.He was a U. S. Army Veteran; a member of the New Hope Christian Church; member of the Attica and Crawfordsville Lions Clubs, serving as the State Governor for 1 year; and a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.In his free time he enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Pamela (Darrell) Pinkerton of Martinsville; his son: Michael (Lee) Goss of Arcadia; and his grandchildren: Miles and Hannah Goss.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Everett L. "Bucky" Goss.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, November 4th, at the New Hope Christian Church, 2746 US 231 South, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Darrell Portwood officiating.Burial will follow in the Oak Hill South Cemetery.Friends may call at the church on Friday, November 3rd, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.Military rites will be conducted at the church on Saturday by the Crawfordsville American Legion Honor Guard and the U.S. Army.Memorials in Carl's name may be sent to: New Hope Christian Church; or to: The Indiana Lions Foundation, 8980 Purdue Road, Suite #9, Indianapolis, IN 46268
