Carlton Stone Thompson

Mr. Carlton Stone "Rocky" Thompson, 76, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in his home at 12:03 PM on Sunday, September 17th, 2017.He was born on April 21st, 1941, in Terre Haute, to Lawrence L. and Princess L. (Stone) Thompson.He married Patricia Ann Bertram in Sheldon, Illinois, on November 25th, 1962. She survives.

Rocky had worked as an Auto Mechanic for 20 years and then did Construction until his retirement.He was a graduate of Kentland High School; a U. S. Army Veteran; and in his free time, he enjoyed "tinkering".

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Robert Thompson of Crawfordsville; Troy (Jodie) Thompson of Clarksburg, West Virginia; and his daughter: Roxanne Smith of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are his brothers: Joe (Alice) Thompson of Bellmore; Larry Thompson of Mansfield; Lee "Squeak" Thompson of Raccoon Lake; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter: Renee Walker; and 2 sisters: Clara and Rebecca Thompson.

Cremation without services was chosen.Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.In lieu of flowers, cards, gifts, memorials, may be sent to the family
