Mrs. Carol L. Herron, age 74, passed way at her home on Friday September 9, 2011.
Born on January 28, 1937 at Pittsboro, In., she was the daughter of Fred C. and Mary Ann Routh Linton, and was educated in the Pittsboro School. She retired as a plate maker after 37 years with R.R. Donnelley and Sons. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church where she taught Sunday school, served as a deaconess and was a member of the Morning Circle. She enjoyed sewing,quilting cross word puzzles and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years: Jack L. Herron of Crawfordsville, IN.
2 Stepsons: Kurt and Cindy Herron of Nashville, Tn. and Kevin and Debbie Herron of Lafayette, In.
2 Sons: Ralph and Cheryl Edwards of Darlington, In. and Doug Edwards of Crawfordsville, In.
4 daughters: Elizabeth and Michael Vannice, Patti and John Waye, and Amy and Robert Polly all of Crawfordsville, In and Jill and Clay Adams of New Market, In.
1 sister: Barbara and Marvin Tucker and sister-in-law Carolyn Linton all of Jamestown, In.
16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday September 13th at the Waynetown Christian Church Family Life Center with the Rev. Chris Lawler officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm at the church on Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the Waynetown Christian Church.
