Carol K. Titus

Carol K. (Smith) Titus, 80, of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette.

She was born July 30, 1937, to Earl and Lillie (Eckert) Smith. A graduate of Coal Creek High School, she worked for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in Crawfordsville on two separate tenures. She was the founder of the Montgomery County Mothers of Twins Club. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed making jewelry and other handicrafts. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Titus, whom she married in 1958; three children: David (wife Yasuko) Titus of Indianola, Iowa, Randy Titus of Anderson, and Teresa Titus of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren: Chris (wife Dawn) Watt of Crawfordsville. Jeremy Watt of Crawfordsville, Drew Watt of Crawfordsville; Whitney Anderson of Crawfordsville; Hannah Anderson of Crawfordsville; Stephanie Titus of Findlay, Ohio; Duncan Titus of Broad Ripple; Ethan Titus of Anderson and Isabelle Titus of Anderson; her sister, Erthie Stiener of Fowler; her brother, Earl (wife, Karon) Smith Jr. of Elmdale; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Geraldine Kenoyer, Lorella Cady and Wilma Smith; and a daughter, Susie (Titus) Watt.

Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care (formerly Powers Priebe Funeral Home) 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville. Funeral will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 4:00pm at St John’s Episcopal Church, 212 S Green Street, in Crawfordsville with the Rev. Jan Oller officiating.
