Carolyn Sue Hardin

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Hardin, age 79, of rural Hillsboro, IN passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday June 2, 2018. Carolyn was born on December 24, 1939 at Crawfordsville, IN and was the daughter of Gerald R. and Mabel Clouse. She attended Hamond Tech. High school before she married Herbert F. Hardin. A hard worker who loved being around people, Carolyn was formerly employed as a housekeeper with the Williamsburg Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, In. for many years.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Herbert Hardin of Hillsboro, In., three sons: Ron Hardin and wife Donna of Hazel Green, Alabama; Terry Hardin and wwife Pat of Hillsboro, IN.; Roland Molenaar and wife Ashley of Veedersburg, In. Also two daughters: Phyllis Poe and husband Wyatt of Huntsville Alabama and Clara Christie of Hillsboro, IN. She will also be miss by her 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and she was looking forward to seeing her first great great grandchild in the near future. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Sister Phyllis Bland, daughter Cynthia Gail and her step daughter Marie Bachman.

Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday June 5th at the Hillsboro Nazarene Church and officiated by Pastor Greg McDonald. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the service at 2:00pm. A graveside service will take place later in the week at Gold Cemetery at Scottsboro, Alabama. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made the the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma city, OK 73123-1718. Envelopes will be available at the church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, In. is honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
