Mr. Carroll Lee Jones, 83, Crawfordsville, passed away at 12:50 AM on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, in the Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation Facility.He was born June 1st, 1934, in Clinton County, one of 9 children, to William A. and Mattie (Eaton) Jones.He married Linda Lou Howell in New Market on May 21st, 1954. She survives.

Carroll was an Electrician, having retired in October, 1998, from Raybestos Brake Products.He was a life-long member of the New Market Christian Church; a member of the "Singing Jones'"; a 1952 graduate of New Market High School; a member of the Montgomery County Tractor Club; and he collected antique cars. His hobbies included his horses; motorcycles; camping; and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Judy (Jack) Price of Linden; his sons: Bill Jones of Alamo; and Kevin Jones of Newport Richey, Florida.Also surviving are his sisters: Iris (Don) Hudson, Jamestown; Veda (Paul) Evans, Crawfordsville; his brother: Clyde (Rita) Jones, New Market; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his son: Jack Lee Jones; his parents; brothers: Claude, Carl, and Clayton Jones; his sisters: Leota Norman; and Henrietta Everett.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, September 4th, at the New Market Christian Church, 300 S. Third St., New Market, with Rev. Gary Snowden officiating.Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery at New Market. Friends may call at the church on Monday from Noon until 2:00 PM. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.Memorials in Carroll's name may be made to the New Market Christian Church.
