Charles C. Buker, 79, of Kingman, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 2:35pm on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Douglas County IL on January 14, 1934 to the late Paul and Mary (Arwine) Buker. He married Betty Ann (Pritchard) Buker on June 17, 1967 in Hillsdale. He graduated from Hillsdale High School.

Charles worked at Cinergy (Cayuga Plant) as a training and mechanical instructor for 27 years. He was an active member of the Waterman Baptist Church. He was a Sunday school teacher for the adult class, had a passion for woodworking, enjoyed fishing, and loved the outdoors - weather permitting.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Kingman; sons, Jeff (Carol) Buker of Chicago and Joe (Kendal) Buker of Kingman; daughters, Mary (Jim) Lumley of Arizona, Amy (Phil) Harkleroad of Milwaukee, and Jane (Dan) Harkleroad of Lafayette; step son, Rick (Karen) Keller of Kingman; step daughter, Sherry (Mike) Anderson of California; brother, Frank (Cheryl) Buker of Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Ellis and Carolyn Sue Stewart, and a brother, Paul Dean Buker.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, Kingman. Funeral service Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor William Lehman and Pastor Andy Harkleroad officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
