Mr. Charles Eugene "Gene" Marriott, age 71, of Waynetown, In. passed away at 4:29 pm Tuesday November 25th 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, In. following a short illness.
Gene was born on December 11, 1942 at Phoenix Arizona the son of Charles P. and Lucille Grissom Marriott. He graduated from Tolleson High School in Tolleson, Arizona and then received an Associates degree in electronics from the University of Phoenix. He also served in the Army National Guard. Gene owned and orperated a TV repair shop in Linden and after retirement he worked as an IT Tech at a casino in Arizona.
Gene married Marjorie Lynne Keller on May 17, 1969 and she survives him. He is also survived by his son Tim (wife-Angie) Marriott of Waynetown. Granddaughters: Heather (Adam) Marriott of Crawfordsville, In. Kendra Marriott of Smithville, NC and Becca Marriott of Waynetown, In. Sisters: Elsie Bussy of Avondale, Arizona and Scharlene (husband-Ray) Bergman of Glendale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents.
It was Gene's wishes to be cremated and then have his ashes interned near his parents in Arizona. There will be no visitation or services at this time in Indiana.
