Mrs. Charlotte Ann Pickering, 70, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at 11:00 AM in her home on Sunday, November 8th. She was born in Crawfordsville on March 25th, 1945, to Crawford Wilson and Velma (Hargis) Crane. She married Lee Edward Pickering in July 1966 in Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 21st, 1998.

Charlotte was a Homemaker and for 3 years had worked in the "mess hall" on the U.S. Army base in Badtoelz, Germany. She attended Crawfordsville Schools and enjoyed gardening and decoupage.

She is survived by her sons: Mark Pickering, Heath Pickering, Jim (Lynn) Pickering, Loyal Pickering, all of Crawfordsville, and Brian "Jeff" (Michelle) Pickering, Mooresville. Also surviving are her sisters: Barbara Runyon, Crawfordsville; Janice Meenach, Darlington; Alice Bartholomew, Cookeville, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Patty Lou Sanders; and her brothers: Larry C. Crane and William T. Crane.

Cremation was selected with a Visitation Service being held at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home on Friday, November 13th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Rd, Crawfordsville, IN 47933
