Christie Jo Weliver

Christie Jo Weliver, 54, of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away with her family by her side on the evening ofDecember 25, 2017.

She was born onApril 20th, 1963 in Crawfordsville to Robert and Darlene Wilson. She grew up in Waynetown and graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1981. Just after graduating, she met and married Gary Alan Weliver.

Christie was always in love with nature, finding whatever excuse she could to spend time outdoors, whether it be collecting crinoids along Sugar Creek, or spending vacations with her family, always near a sunny beach or a lake to go swimming in. She loved animals and took in and cared for many of them throughout her life. Her grand-dog was never far from her side in her last days

She was skilled and enjoyed making crafts and unique pieces of art that was proudly displayed in her home and those of her loved ones.

She is survived by the loves of her life: her husband, Gary, her children, Isaac and Savanna (Sumit) Nag.Also surviving are her parents:her sister: Renee (Alan) Wilson; and her brothers: Earl Wilson; and Aaron (Sandra) Wilson.

A Memorial-Funerall Service will be held on Friday,December 29th, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, across from her parents' home so she will always be close.. Friends may call at the funeral home onFridayfrom Noon until the service time.Memorials in Christie's name may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
