Christine West

Christine M. West, 74, Crawfordsville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, at 2:50 AM, after an extended illness. She was born September 17, 1936 in Cochranton, PA, to Charles L. and Frances E. Giering. She married Marion West July 25, 1987 in Anderson, IN. He survives.

Mrs. West was a retired secretary and worked in accounting for 10 years at Delco Remy in Anderson, IN and 13 years for the Indiana State Highway Department and the Medicaid Office.She was a graduate of Grove City, PA, High School; member of Christ's United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville, and attended the Whitesville Christian Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Purple Chaps Club; The Flower Lover's Garden Club; the Gold Wing Road Riders Association; and the Montgomery County Pioneer Association.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by nieces, nephews, and step-children. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Vincent G. and Ellis K Giering.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 30, at 12:30 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Michael Whitacre, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
