Christine "Chris" Renee (Trahan) Conrad

Christine “Chris” Renee (Trahan) Conrad, age 54 of Danville, IL and formerly of Kingman passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 28, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family at Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL.

She was born in Danville, IL on December 27, 1964 to Alcide “Sid” Trahan & Maxine Louise (Carver) Swaim.  She graduated from Covington High School in 1983 and worked as an LPN for many years and retired from the Veteran’s hospital in Danville, IL.  On January 1, 2008 she married the love of her life, Ron Conrad, who survives.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; her children, Nikki (Preston) Trahan-Messer, Jessica Wrightsman, Alexis Wrightsman, Zach Wrightsman, Krystal (Aaron Street) Conrad, and Shane Conrad; her father, Sid (Patricia) Trahan; her step-father, William Swaim; her siblings, Ann (Randy) Hathaway, Wendy (Robert Hannan) Robinson, Jay (Carla) Trahan, James (Cathy) Trahan, Jason (Audrina Allen) Trahan, Bill Swaim, Dawn (Jeff) Thomas, Terri (Charles) Dewitt, Michael (Susan) Ferguson, and Wesley Ferguson; 17 grandchildren, Damien, Zoe V., Aiden W., Lucas, Emma, Zoe M., Ava, Caleb, Aiden L., Brynlee, Violet, Kayliana, Elise, Aya, Schuy, Brooke, Mika; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and her dog, Lilly and cat, Josie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lou; her late husband, Bob Shuman; and nephew, Layton Hathaway.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 4:00pm till the time of the service at 7:00pm with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, her son Zach is dedicating a run at the Chicago Marathon in memory of Chris and donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association, http://main.diabetes.org/goto/osiris151 or to the family for the continuous support of the grandchildren which can be donated at the Fountain Trust Company, Benefit for Chris Conrad.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
