Clifford Richard Kiger

Clifford Richard Kiger, age 85, of Cates passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Waters of Covington Nursing Home. He was born on March 27, 1931 in Tangier, IN to the late Cloyd & Vernie Mae (Allen) Kiger.

In May of 1955 he married the love of his life, Mary Ann (Hutson) Kiger, who preceded him in death on January 16, 1998. Throughout the years he worked for the railroad, Coffing Brothers Orchard for 17 years, and retired from Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg after 20 plus years. He enjoyed working in the garden and telling stories to everyone he met.

He is survived by three sons, Tony, Mike, and Scott Kiger; four daughters, Carmen (David) Long, Sheila Kiger, Jill Ellingwood, and Robin (David) Schutz; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Danielle, Alicia, Heather, Cody, Jacob, Justin, and Brody; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Mary Ann; his son, Randy; two sisters and several brothers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 2-4pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman with cremation to follow. Burial of cremains will follow at a later date. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
