Clifton Ray York

Clifton Ray York, age 86, of New Market, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation. Clifton was born on March 7, 1934 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late Herbert James and Lois Delno (McCarter) York.

Clifton married the love of his life Dimple Geraldine Gentry on October 25, 1954 in Tennessee. Throughout the years, he worked as a truck driver and at Mid-States Steel and Wire. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, flea markets, and drinking Coffee with his friends. He was a lifetime member of the Handy Man Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dimple; three sons, Joe (Liz), Roger (Robin), and Steve (Jennifer) York; three daughters, Mary Morrison, Susan Korte, and Tammy Neier; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Meghan, Kalen, Ethan, Rachel, Michael, Cory, Justin; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie and Hershel York; a sister, Margaret Osborne; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Roy, and Harrison York; a sister, Reba Coons; grandson Sean York; and three sons-in-law, Buck Morrison, Paul Korte, and Jim Neier.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street, in Crawfordsville, on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 3:00pm.
