Mr. Clyde Franklin Coleman, 73, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26, at 1:00 AM in his home. He was born October 8, 1940, in Fountain County, to Robert Alvin and Ruth Miranda (Carter) Coleman. He married Georgiann Morphy on January 30, 1960, in Fountain County. She survives.
Mr. Coleman was a retired Mechanical Engineer having worked for 35 years for RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics. He was a 1958 graduate of Perrysville High School and received his Engineering Degree in 1963 from Purdue University. He was a member of the Woodland Heights Christian Church, Crawfordsville; a member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers; had numerous patents in his name; and in his free time, enjoyed farming, woodworking, and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Lisa A. (Chase) Miller, Clarks Hill; Stacey (Brent) Feldman, Indianapolis; and Amy (Dale) Young, Lakeland, Florida. Also surviving are his sisters: Sandra Green; Myrna (Al) Harden; Myra Deckard, all of Crawfordsville; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Dale; and sister: Roberta Gibson.
Cremation without public services was chosen. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
