Clyde Thomas "Tom" Hunt, age 76 of Kingman, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Danville, Illinois on November 15, 1947 to the late Clyde & Mabel (Huffman) Hunt.
Tom graduated from North Vermillion High School in 1965 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an aviation hydraulic technician. Throughout the years he worked as a service tech at the Kingman Hardware for 20 years, a truck driver for Conway for 15 years, and worked part-time at Gene's Farm Supply for over 30 years. He was member and deacon at Freedom Baptist Church, and a member at Browns Valley Baptist Church and Marshall Federated Church. He enjoyed camping, playing board games and cards with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dee Hunt; his two children, Tami (Tim) Woodrow and Tom (Misty) Hunt; eight grandchildren, Charlie, Brie, Trent, Shelly, Quinton, Caleb, Marc and Isabella; siblings, Marsha Hardy, Pat (Davy) White, Roxie Wisehart, Jim (Sue) Hunt, John Hunt, Steve (Judy) Hunt, Linda Galey, Carol Hunt, Julie McGow, Debbie (Denny) DePlanty, Betsy (Larry) Teall, June James, Mary Lu (Jack) Reynolds, and Sue (Fred) Harris; and many nieces, nephew, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde & Mabel Hunt; in-laws, Quinton & Jean James; brother, Terry Hunt; sisters, Ruth Link and Gladys Brown; and son, Brian Newby.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Wednesday, January 17, 2023 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm with Pastor Fred Harris officiating and military honors by the United States Navy and Legion Post 72 Honor Guard.
