Connie Lee Turner

Connie Lee Turner, age 87 of Crawfordsville, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 12, 2018.  He was born in Crawfordsville on July 8, 1931 to the late Jewel Turner and Ruth (Stewart) Turner-Brady.

Connie graduated from New Ross High School and proudly served in the National Guard.  He married the love of his life, Norma Lucille “Boots” (Bowers) Turner, who preceded him in death on May 11, 2009.  He retired from R.R Donnelley after 40 plus years as a hoist operator.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and the Eagles.  He enjoyed fishing and loved to square dance and travel with is wife on their motorcycle.

He is survived by a son, Jerry (Marena Proffitt) Turner; a step-brother, Bud (Loraine) Brady; a sister, Sadie (Basil) Dulin and half-sister, Jenny Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma; and a son, Dennis Turner.
