Curtis Wayne Simpson

Curtis Wayne Simpson passed away at home on Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was born and raised in Burlington, NC on September 9, 1950 to Curtis and Dorothy (Winfrey) Simpson. Wayne married Wendy (Downey) Simpson on July 26, 1995 in North Carolina. He proudly served our country in the US Army.
He owned American Eagle Towing Company in Burlington for over 15 years, towing cars across the country. Wayne enjoyed watching NASCAR races and sporting games, attending monster truck shows with his family and playing computer games. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and playing word games with his wife.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Wendy; 5 children, Sherrie (Lisa) Johnson, Lisa (Gary) Brock, Deanna Bush (Dale Younts), Kimberly (Roger) Hickman and Duane (Trisha) Washburn; grandchildren, Brandy, Devin, Baylee, Gaven, Haydn, Sierra, Dylan, Breonna, Justin, Brooke, Jordan, Cameron and Jenny; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Vivian (Jerry) Baumgarner.
