Dale Leon Conrad, age 70 of Crawfordsville passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Rose Gate Village in Indianapolis. He was born in Crawfordsville on May 2, 1948 to the late Richard E. & Edna M. (Steele) Conrad.
Dale graduated from New Market High School in 1966 and received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana State University. He married Elaine Norman on April 14, 2001. He worked as an accountant at various places including, Impex, Crawford Industries, Mid-States, and he retired from Crown Cork & Seal. Dale proudly served in the United States Marine Reserves and was a member of the New Market Christian Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing volleyball and softball, camping, boating and fishing; loved playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristie (Hank) Hornaday of Indianapolis; a step-daughter, Ronda Norman of New Market; a brother, Rick (Susie) Conrad of Crawfordsville; an aunt and uncle, Alice & Basil Hester of New Market; seven grandchildren, Isabella, Cooper, Owen, Ella, Dara, Evan, and Cora; a nephew, Shad; and a niece, Shelby.
There will be a Graveside Service on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00am at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery with Minister Gary Snowden officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the New Market Christian Church, PO Box 356, New Market, IN 47965 or your charity of choice. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.
