Dale Eugene Fischer

Mr. Dale Eugene Fischer, age 79, passed away May 16, 2014 at his summer home at CharLaRose camp Ground near Waynetown, IN after recently coming back here from his winter home in McAllen, TX.
Dale was born on January 30, 1935 near Alamo, IN. the son of the late Fred C. and Belle James Fischer. He graduated from Alamo High School in 1953 and served in the US Army from November 1954 to November 1956 and the in the Armed Forces Reserves until 1960. Dale was a member of the Alamo Christian Church and was retired from the shipping Dept. of R.R. Donnelley and Son's plant in Crawfordsville, IN. Dale was first married to Patty Ann Platt on January 31, 1953 and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1991. He then married Barbara Livingston in 1992 and she preceded him in death in 2008.
Dale is survived by his two sons and a daughter: Larry (Sherrie) Fischer of Broomfield, CO.; Fred Fischer of Oregon and Linda (David) Black of Crawfordsville, IN. He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Paul (Mary) Fischer of Alamo, Jim (Dorothy) Fischer of Rockville, IN; John (Carolyn) Fischer of Lake Holiday, Crawfordsville, IN.; Martha Griggs of Crawfordsville, IN and Alice Fischer of Vero Beach, FL. He was also blessed with 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown officiated by Rev. Terry Phillips. Burial will follow in the Alamo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am Wednesday until the services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma city, OK. 73123-1718.
