Darin Eugene Brooks

Mr. Darin Eugene Brooks, 53, New Richmond, passed away Thursday, July 9th, in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 17th, 1962, in Crawfordsville, to Eugene A. and Betty G. (Handley) Brooks. He married Deana S. Tipton in Crawfordsville on August 26th, 1997. She survives.

Darin was most of all a devoted and loving Father and Husband. He was an Electrician at CSI in Crawfordsville. He was a 1980 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; was a member of the IBEW Local #668 Union; a member of the Crawfordsville Sons of The American Legion, Squad #72; and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, camping, and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Eugene H. Brooks, Crawfordsvile; his mother: Betty Brooks, Crawfordsville; his sisters: Debi Scruggs, Crawfordsville; Denise (Dan) Maxwell, Darlington; Diana Hester, New Market; Dawn Desutter, Crawfordsville; his brother: David (Betty) Brooks, Mississippi; his father and mother-in-law: Dutch and Pat Tipton; his mother-in-law: Judy Sheldon; brothers-in-law: Larry (Georgia) Tipton; Rusty (Cheryl) Tipton; Tommy (Sunshine) Tipton; sisters-in-law: Debbie (Phil) Shirar; Patty (James) Pritchard; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; his brother-in-law: Keith Hester; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 14th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with John Kenneson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, July 13th, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
