Darrell Lee Canada

Mr. Darrell Lee Canada, 83, Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, September 19th, at 12:10 AM in the St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis. He was born April 1st, 1933, in Advance to Russell Ray and Lena Pearl (Mills) Canada. He married Julia Esther Heishman on August 6th, 1952, in Bryan, Texas. She survives.

Darrell was a Computer Programmer and Operator, having worked for many years at Ingress Plastene and retiring in 1992 from R.R. Donnelleys. He attended Advance schools; was a U. S. Air Force Veteran; and in his free time enjoyed fishing and golfing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Debra (Dave) Harwood, Crawfordsville; and his son: David Canada (companion, Teresa Daniel), Knoxville, Tennessee. Also surviving are grandchildren: Christy O'Brien; Amy Gleason; Lori Canada; Jason Canada; and great-granddaughters: Emma Gleason and Kenzie O'Brien. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Public Graveside Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, September 23rd, in the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Jamestown, with Rev. Kurt Flora officiating. No visitation services are planned.
