David Head

David Edward Head, 43, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 16, 2024 at home in Crawfordsville after a long illness. He was born on September 22, 1980 to Edward and Cynthia (Riehs) Head in Victoria, TX.

He was a graduate of Fountain Central, Class of 1999. David married Gina Salias on October 1, 2003 in Brownsville, TX. David enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved family movie nights with his kids, sometimes staying up a bit too late. David played guitar, jamming with his son, John. David also played games like poker and chess. He was excellent at cooking, grilling and barbequing with friends and family.

David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gina; a son, John E. Head; 2 daughters, Cynthia I. Head and Makala I. Head; sister, Misty (Jason) Bryan; brother, Rhys (Robin) Sweat; nieces and nephew, Allison, Mackenzie, Charity, and Autumn Bryan and Blake and Austin Sweat; 3 great nephews, Landyn and Lincoln Bryan and Isaiah Neal; mother-in-law, Sanjuana Hernandez; and brother-in-law, Juan Salias. He will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Janet Riehs.
