Ms. Deborah "Debbie" F. VanCleave, 58, Crawfordsville, passed away at 2:30 AM Wednesday, October 19, at the Marliere Care Center, New Port Richey, Florida. She was born September 14, 1953 in Indianapolis to Robert F., Jr, and Gladys (Richardson) Staten. She married John McDaniels. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Ms. VanCleave had worked in Quality Control for Kaufman's Engineering, Lebanon, for 22 years. She was a graduate of Norttwest High School, Indianapolis, and a member of the Holiday Fellowship Community Church, Holiday, Florida.
She is survived by her daughter: Jennifer Harden, Indianapolis, and her companion, Stephen Jackson, Crawfordsville. Also surviving are her sisters: Sue Staten, Indianapolis; Linda Danner, Brooklyn, Indiana; Joyce Collins, Greenfield, Indiana; her brother, Harold Staten, Brownsburg, Indiana; 2 grand daughters: Kayla Earls, Indianapolis, and Kyrah Thompson, Ladoga; and 10 nieces and 2 nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gladys Campbell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 3:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Alan Goff officiating. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Online condolences may be sent to: powerspriebefh.com.
