Debra "Debbie" Ann Badger-Dunavan, age 67 of Cayuga passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born in Shelburn, Indiana on September 11, 1957 to Jerry Oliver & Barbara Mae (Turpin) Badger.
Debbie graduated from North Vermillion High School in 1975 and received her associates degree from Danville Area Community College. She was the certified activities director at North Logan Healthcare in Danville, IL for 33 years. She was a member of the West Liberty Church of Christ and the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 263, where she was past president and past District 6 President. She loved horses and attending horse sales, visiting the Amish communities, enjoyed cooking and made the best peanut butter fudge. She enjoyed singing karaoke and won 1st place at the Cayuga Lion's Club Karaoke Contest several years ago. She loved going to concerts with her daughter Autumn and doing meet and greets with the artists. Debbie had the biggest smile that matched her beautiful heart. She cared about everyone from her family to the residents that she cared for at North Logan Healthcare Center. She could always be found entertaining (singing and dancing) and making people smile, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
On June 21, 1997 she married William Dean Dunavan Sr., who survives. She is survived by her children, Autumn (Jeff) Badger Jackson, William (Roxanne) Dunavan Jr., Ronald (Angie) Dunavan and Tiffanie (Ben) Drake; 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two brothers, Terry (Mary) Badger and Scott Badger; and a sister, Trudy (Rick) Mackey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Barbara Badger; a son, John Dunavan; a grandson, Jason Dunavan; a nephew, Terry Badger II; a great nephew, Terry Badger III; and a niece, Paige Badger.
There will be a Graveside Service at Eugene Cemetery on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00am with Pastor Kurt Flora officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary, 922 W Ferry St, Cayuga, IN 47928. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
