Denzil "Ray" Radith Blankenbeckler, age 90 of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on December 19, 1933 to the late Glen & Gertrude (Lambert) Blankenbeckler.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army. Throughout the years he worked at Atlas Cement, Ford Motor Company, then retired from Ball Glass Company in May of 1993 after 31 years. He loved fishing, hunting and watching the deer and birds on their property. Ray enjoyed woodworking and made most of the beautiful furniture in their home. He also loved gardening and was known for his tomatoes, selling them to everyone at the Attica and Covington Farmers Markets for many years. Ray loved helping his wife in the flower garden and was always working on multiple projects.

On July 29, 1972 he married the love of his life, JoEllen Farrell, who survives. He also leaves behind his children, Dianna Welter of Lowell, Indiana, Cindy (Warren) Wurtz of Berkley, Illinois, Tammy Carey of Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Michael (Nancy) Rutkowski of Griffith, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jennifer Welter, Brandy Ligzt, and Shawn Wurtz; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Michael; a great-great grandchild, Oliver; two brothers, John (Kerry) Blankenbeckler of Ridge Farm, Illinois and Kenny (Judy) Blankenbeckler of Veedersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Loretta Gray, Vee Wampler, Katherine Gray, Janet Potts, Bernice Shoap, Roger Blankenbeckler, Leroy Blankenbeckler, Linda Brock, and Ron Blankenbeckler; a son-in-law, Robert Carey; a grandson, Corey Rutkowski; and a great grandson, Ashton.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm till the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm.
