Dierdre Fawn (Plew) Deck

Dierdre Fawn Deck, age 59, of Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Franciscan Health Lafayette. She was born on April 26, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Frank Plew and Gloria Jean (Bagby) Coleman.

Dierdre graduated from Bloomington High School in 1979. She graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in accounting. She married Joseph Wayne Deck on July 28, 2011 in Crawfordsville. Dierdre loved spending time with people, especially her family. Many would describe her as creative and compassionate individual. She was in the process of writing her own book. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, hiking, visiting caves, golfing, and keeping things clean.

Dierdre is survived by her husband, Joseph; a daughter, Jessica Ferrante; a son Christopher Wheatley; four stepchildren, Joveya Crisantos-Toves, Taci Toves, Veala Rosenfield, Shaina Taylor; stepfather, Melvin Coleman; two sisters, Romana Lisa Kirk and Clorana Coleman; three brothers, Richard Plew, Kenneth Coleman, and Jeremy Coleman; eighteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Dierdre was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The celebration of life service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
