Dolores Wilson

Mrs. Dolores June Wilson, 80, Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, at 7:16 PM at the St. Elizabeth Franciscan Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born July 31, 1931, in Fountain County, to John W. and Carolyn (Flory) Pickett. She first married Lawrence Newlin and he died in 1962. She then married Floyd W. Wilson, on December 12, 1969. in Crawfordsville. He died October 6, 1997.

Mrs. Wilson was a Mother and a Homekeeper. She attended Veedersburg Schools; enjoyed watching old TV shows and sports, and really loved Bingo.

She is survived by her children: Susan K. Davis, Crawfordsville; Deborah C. (Walt) Otenburg, Terre Haute; Cheryl L. (Wesley) Baker, Ladoga; Trudy J. (Ron) Earley, Crawfordsville; Rita Kay (Elvie) Dowell, Waynesburg, Kentucky; Mike (Jeanette) Newlin, Crawfordsville; Jack L. (Debbie) Newlin, Crawfordsville; Lawrence A. "Duke" (Tammy) Newlin, Roachdale; Jeff A. "Woodie" (Kelly) Wilson, Crawfordsville; John (Joanna) Newlin, Linden; Dean (Joan) Wilson, Indianapolis. Also surviving is a brother: Robert (Elaine) Pickett, Veedersburg; sisters: Freida Rich, Veedersburg; Ann (Gene) Cushman, Michigan; 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Floyd Jr., brother; Dean; sisters: Millie, Margie, Betty, Katherine, and Wilma.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 2:00 PM at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Vernon Dowell officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
