Don O. Nevitt

Mr. Don Owen Nevitt, age 67, of New Richmond, In. passed away at 5:00 am wednesday August 31, 2011 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Nevitt worked for 45 years at R.r. Donnelley and Sons and retired as a Supervisor January 2008. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Vernon S. Nevitt and Beulah (Hays) Nevitt Yousko. He moved to Indiana in 1959 and was a 1962 graduate of Coal Creek Central high School.
He married Carolyn Jo Hillenburg on March 1, 1963 and she survives at New Richmond, In. He is also survived by three sons: Wayne Nevitt of Crawfordsville, In.; Jay Nevitt of Romney, In. and Dan (wife- Cindy) Nevitt of Crawfordsville, In. He has nine grandchildren: Olivia, Mahlon, tyler, Dylan, Henry, Dalton, Dayton, Dawson and Jayde Nevitt. Also suriving is one sister Linda (husband-Larry) Reynolds of Covington, In. and 2 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and Father-in-law Carrel Hillenburg and Mother-in-law Edith Hillenburg.
He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. He also had helped witht he Emmaus Walk several years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday September 3, 2011 at Shoemaker Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Brouwer officiating. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the services on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist church missionary Fund.
