Mr. Donald W. "Pujer" Benge, 64, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, March 30th, at 3:30 PM in the St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born November 19th, 1951, in Lebanon, to Henry H. and Hazel (Maddox) Benge. He was first married to Robin Kellerman, and later to Brenda Raines. He has been with his current companion, Brenda Wright, for many years, who survives.

Don had worked at Raybestos Products for more than 30 years. He attended New Ross Schools and attended the New Ross United Methodist Church. He was a great Dad and Papaw; a super brother and son; he loved everyone and was a friend to all. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He coached and played softball for many years and also coached his family softball team.

In addition to his companion, Brenda, he is survived by his sons: Jeremy (Tabitha) Benge, New Market; Chad (Jessica Clodfelter) Benge, Ladoga; Casey Benge, Waynetown; and Cory (Kimmie) Benge, Crawfordsville. Also surviving is his brother: James (Marge) Benge, Crawfordsville; his sisters: Martha (Russell) McCullough, Crawfordsville; Mary (Larry) Riley, Jamestown; Rebecca (Wayne) Shaw, Mace; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Beth Ray; his parents; and his brothers: Cecil, Samuel, and Virgil Benge.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2nd, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Revs, Nathan Powell and Tami Mussche officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses
